How to Clean Carepod One

How to Clean Carepod One

So you have your Carepod One all set and ready to go  and now you're curious as to how to clean it! There are two ways to clean your premium humidifier: either through gentle handwashing or sterilization.

How to Gently Clean Your Carepod One

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clean your Carepod One through handwashing.

1. Remove three parts.

First, detach three washable parts from your Carepod.

  • Stainless steel tank
  • Stainless steel inner lid cover
  • White wand

2. Use a gentle cleanser to wash the tank and lid cover.

3. Wash only the bottom half of the white wand.

When washing the white wand, take care to wash only the bottom half. Do not wash the top half, where the wand plugs into the humidifier inner lid.

4. Make sure to fully dry all three parts.

Once you finish washing the three parts, make sure to fully dry before attaching or plugging back into your Carepod.

How to Sterilize Your Carepod One

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clean your Carepod One through sterilization.

1. Remove two parts.

First, detach two washable parts from your Carepod.

  • Stainless steel tank
  • Stainless steel inner lid cover

2. Place the inner lid cover into the water tank.

3. Fill the water tank with water.

3. Turn the stove on to low or medium heat.

4. Place the tank on the stove, and bring to boil.

5. Leave at boiling temperatures for 1-2 minutes.

6. Safely remove from heat.

7. Make sure to dry the two parts.

Once you finish sterilizing the two parts, make sure to fully dry before attaching back into your Carepod.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How often should I clean my Carepod?

We recommend cleaning the three parts at least once a week.

Can I use a dishwasher to clean my Carepod?

You can clean two items using the dishwasher: stainless steel water tank, and inner lid cover. Do not add the white wand to your dishwasher, as this part can only be hand-cleaned.

Can I sterilize the white wand?

We recommend gently handwashing only the bottom half of your white wand. You may use a Q-tip or toothbrush if you want to thoroughly clean the little center nook located at the bottom of the wand.

What type of soap should I use?

We recommend using gentle liquid dishwashing soap.

Do I need to clean the air vent, located on the side?

You may clean the Airguard pad once a month. Remove it, and rinse it gently with water. Dry fully before placing back into the vent area.

I have a Carepod Mini. Do I clean it the same way?

No, if you own a Carepod Mini, the cleaning process is different, due to the different materials being used. Please refer to this guide instead.
