I’m Dr. Hyung Joo Kim, and I’m glad to meet you.

I’d love to share with you my personal journey as the founder and inventor of Carepod.

Through my medical expertise, I’ve always known that dry indoor air can lead to infections, sore throats, dehydrated skin and other ailments.
I turned to existing humidifiers to help my own family fight dry air in our home. However, after weeks of use, each one would become packed with grime and dangerous bacteria inside — and yet, they were impossible to clean. I couldn’t accept those hazards for my wife, son and daughter. When I talked to my neighbors and fellow doctors, I knew I wasn’t alone.

So I invented Carepod, the world’s simplest and cleanest humidifier for everyone.

With its award-winning, minimalist design, Carepod powerfully fights dry air, and most importantly, is the first humidifier that can be sterilized, leaving it safe and 99.9% germ-free.

Today, my hope is to create hydrated air for healthier, resilient living in shared spaces all across the world.
